Alan joined Rawlinson & Hunter as a Chartered Tax Adviser in June 2017 having previously worked at the Big Four. Alan provides tax compliance and advisory services to UK and international high net worth individuals, in conjunction with their business interests and family wealth arrangements.

Having worked with clients across a range of industry sectors, Alan has broad experience from which to advise his client base, from both a personal and business aspect. Specifically, Alan's expertise lies in advising Fund Managers from a range of asset classes on the taxation of management fees and carried interest, together with the impact of the changes to non-UK domiciled individuals who are long-term UK residents. Alan enjoys building close working relationships with clients and their advisers in order to fully understand and optimise their affairs.

Alan became a Partner of the firm in 2020 and is the head of Rawlinson and Hunter’s Leatherhead-based tax department. Alan has a Masters of Engineering from Bath University, has completed the Association of Taxation Technician (ATT) qualification, and is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA).
